Privacy policy

Adapted Physiques is a brand of Adapted Industries Corp., an Ontario corporation ("Adapted Physiques", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through adaptedphysiques.com, our forms and our coaching services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its fair information principles, and we apply the same care to visitors from the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Who is responsible
Adapted Industries Corp. is responsible for personal information under our control. Our privacy officer can be reached at info@adaptedphysiques.com.
What we collect
- Coaching application: name, email, phone, Instagram handle, where you are based, your goals, training experience, age, height, weight, training days and equipment, injuries or medical conditions you choose to tell us about, show date, federation and division (for competitors), the program you're interested in, your budget and start date, and how you heard about us.
- Strategy call bookings: the time you choose, your time zone, name, email, phone and goal.
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional) and your message.
- Calculator and quiz: the macro calculator runs in your browser. If you finish the 60-second quiz, your answers and result are sent to us without your name or email so we can improve it.
- Coaching clients: check-in data such as body weight, measurements, progress photos, training logs, nutrition, sleep, stress, health information you share with your coach, and messages in the Adapt Now app.
- Purchases: when you buy coaching on our partner store YourSupplier.ca, we receive your order details (name, email, product, amount, order date). Card details are handled by Shopify's payment systems; we never see or store your full card number.
- Website analytics (cookieless): pages viewed, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM), device type, browser family and approximate country. These are counted as anonymous daily totals. We do not use cookies for analytics, we do not store IP addresses, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don't count your visit at all.
- Heatmaps (cookieless): to see which parts of a page are useful, we record where on the page clicks land and how far people scroll, as anonymous aggregate counts. We do not record sessions, keystrokes, mouse movement or anything you type into forms.
- Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile and a one-way hashed network address that is kept for no more than 24 hours to block abuse.
- Your browser's session storage: we keep the referring site and campaign tags in your browser for the current tab only, so an enquiry can be credited to the source that brought you. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Health information
Information about your health, body and injuries is sensitive. We only collect it with your express consent, only to plan safe and effective coaching for you, and we limit access to your coach. We do not use it for advertising.
How we use your information
- To reply to you, review your application and run your strategy call.
- To deliver, adjust and support your coaching if you become a client.
- To process payments, keep business and tax records and meet legal obligations.
- To send emails you asked for. We only send marketing emails with your consent, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To protect our forms and services from spam, fraud and abuse.
Consent
By submitting a form or becoming a client, you consent to the uses described here. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@adaptedphysiques.com, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer coach you.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, under contracts or terms that require them to protect it and use it only for the service they provide:
- Cloudflare receives form submissions and provides spam protection (Turnstile), security and delivery for our forms service. Submissions are moved to our own systems shortly after you submit and then deleted from Cloudflare.
- Hostinger hosts this website.
- Shopify and YourSupplier.ca process coaching purchases and payments, including Shop Pay and Shop Pay Installments.
- Our coaching app platform hosts the Adapt Now app where client coaching data lives.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts on this site. Your browser requests them from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google states it does not use this to profile you.
- Email and calendar providers we use to communicate with you and schedule calls.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case the buyer must honour this policy.
Advertising pixels
This site does not currently use advertising or social media tracking pixels. If we add them in the future, they will only load after you accept them in our privacy choices banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the Privacy choices link in the footer. See our cookie policy.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. When information is outside your province or country, it is subject to the laws of that place and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We choose providers with strong security practices and contractual protections.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, applications and bookings that don't become clients: up to 24 months after our last contact.
- Client coaching records: for the length of your coaching and up to 24 months after it ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Purchase and payment records: as long as tax law requires (generally six years).
- Spam-protection hashes: no more than 24 hours.
- Analytics and heatmaps: kept only as anonymous aggregate totals.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, strong passwords and two-factor authentication on our accounts, and we limit access to people who need it to coach you or run the business. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Visitors in the EU or UK can also ask us to restrict or object to processing and to receive a copy of their data in a portable format. Some US states give similar rights; we honour them for everyone. Email info@adaptedphysiques.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the federal Office of the Privacy Commissioner (priv.gc.ca), or your local data protection authority.
Children
This site and our coaching are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Applicants under 18 need the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll post a notice on the site or tell clients directly.
